My Listening Stats: February 2026
A little late to posting this but I've finally gone through my February stats on my ListenBrainz account. If you're new to reading this, I started hosting my own music streaming service so I could cancel Spotify and start having full control of my music as well as maintain full access to my listening stats all year. This means I don't have to wait for Spotify Wrapped to get fun information on what my habits are.
After my January stats were heavily dominated by the Heated Rivalry soundtrack, I'm somewhat back to my regular listening habits. Though I'm still listening to more Canadian-based artists that I probably would have been in the past.

Overall there are no super interesting trends in my monthly listening activity, just that it increased from an average of 105 daily listens to 150 in February despite it being shorter by 3 days. My daily listening habits (in the heatmap shown below) also didn't change in any noticeable way from January.

My Top 10s
My top artist and album are still Marianas Trench and their "Ever After" album, which doesn't surprise me. I am surprised that "Electra Heart" by Marina and the Diamonds didn't make it higher, but I don't think I had it downloaded for all of Feburary so maybe in March it will claim the top spot.

I didn't realize that I played "Close Your Eyes" by Kim Petras so much and it wasn't a song I went out of my way to play so either my shuffle algorithm happened to play it a lot by chance or there was some glitch that over-reported how many times I listened to the song.
Taylor Swift was able to claim 3rd place on my most listened albums with "THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT" because it is one of my go-to albums when I want music to fall asleep to and I did find myself using it more than usual this past month.

This genre activity chart either wasn't available in past months or it just didn't show me anything interesting before, but I think it is a pretty cool piece of data. Overall it shows that I'm consistent with the same distribution between genres throughout the day but I think it is cool to see that in the 6PM-midnight quadrant the "dance pop" genre jumps to the second spot. I definitely find myself specifically going to songs I can dance to if I have more work to finish and am starting to get tired, so its cool to see that shows up in my listening data.
All-Time Statistics
Checking in on my all-time statistics as of March 9th, this is what I'm at.

The Heated Rivalry influence still shows a lot in my top songs list with Wolf Parade's "I'll Believe in Anything" in the top spot, and several others from the soundtrack still holding strong in the top 10.
Marina (and the Diamonds) is climbing my charts but everything else is fairly consistent with my January stats. Thanks for reading, see you next month!
